Organic pigments: plant and animal substances.

Organic pigments are extracted from substances of animal or plant origin - these colours are lead-free. Their transparency is particularly useful for glazes and patinas. They are mainly used inside, although some colours resist outside. When mixing them with lime it is a good idea to do a test since there are many types of lime. These pigments with their fine and pure colours are used in art, on wood, canvas or frescoes as well as many personalised decorations. They can be used with water and oil, and with acrylic or vinyl binders.

All of these pigments, Ochres, Clays, Oxides, and Organic Colours, can be mixed and allow an infinite number of tones to be obtained.
